ALUMNI FUND TIME - YOU ARE ASKED TO THINK ABOUT IT, TALK ABOUT IT, THEN ACT.

When a guy takes his pen in hand, as did Bill Hutchison, and writes a long, newsy letter of himself and others, he is deserving of a Wah-Hoo-Wah from us all. Montclair, N. J., is Bill's home where he is sharing an apartment with another Indian - "with a commanding view of metropolitan New Jersey and the New York skyline." Bill is working in Newark for the Fidelity Union Trust where he recently was promoted to second Vice President. He says: "I seem to keep active in local affairs too, and am director of the Newark Junior Chamber of Commerce as well as having been elected as County Committeeman for the GOP in my Montclair district." Bill continues: "Saw Dave Berry in town and he continues to teach in Sparta, N. J. Tom and Jane Dyal are neighbors - Tom is with his father in the Dyal Co. in New York. Ed Fowler recently moved to Livingston, N. J., and is local manager for Liberty Mutual Life Ins. Co. in Northern N. J. Corky Kay is now with C. G. Winans of Newark as Sales Manager and understand he's getting married soon." (Note Corky - please inform if true, or if you have filed libel suit.) Bill also reports that he talks to Tony and Isa Chambers in Atlanta, Ga., from time to time - they now have son number 3; and Dow andNancy Drukker live in Montclair with their two boys. Dow is with Union Building and Construction Co. Bob and Doris Foster are now in Old Bridge, N. J., with two boys and Bob is with International Flavors and Fragrances of New York." Thanks again, Bill, for keeping us all posted.

Bumped into Tom Unkefer and his new bride in Cambridge, Mass., the other day. Tom, and the former Jane Miller of Utica, N. Y., are now living in Cambridge while Tom is completing his second year at the Harvard Business School. Jane is a graduate of Bryn Mawr and was on the editorial staff of Reader's Digest.

ENGAGEMENTS A LA FEB. & MARCH: Cold winds were blowing in certain areas recently but warm hearts were matured also as Rod Jennings announced his engagement to Ann Barden of Summit, N. J., in February. Rod is now with the New Jersey Bell Telephone Co. in Newark. In Andover, Mass., Bill Nichols and Dr. Gwendolyn Barrington set plans for a summer honeymoon. Gwen graduated from Abbot Academy, Mount Holyoke, and the Cornell Medical College. She is a resident in radiology at the Grace-New Haven Community Hospital in New Haven. Bill is now assistant treasurer of the Andover Insurance Companies. Out in the World's Fair City, Seattle, Elizabeth Ann Hoak has said "Yes" to Brad Edgerton. She graduated from the University of Washington and has set June as the best month to walk the aisle.

Public Service - Not For Others But Me - This seems to capture the spirit of recent news received concerning Warren Cole and Put Blodgett.

Warren has set out for a seat on the Fort Lee, N. J., Board of Education. Warren is employed now as manager of the Educational Systems Dept. of Recordak Corp., a subsidiary of Eastman Kodak Co. He also is Vice Chairman of the Fort Lee Board of Adjustment and Appeal. Put, who lives in Bradford, Vt., has announced his candidacy for the Republican nomination for the office of town representative to the 1963 General Assembly. Fie is currently a member of the Republican town committee, director of the Orange County Young Republicans and Chairman of the state Young Republicans platform committee. An excerpt from Put's initial statement of candidacy was as follows: "Our state's economy is based largely on agriculture, industry, and recreation. I believe the state should assist the present organizations in these fields to stimulate our economy to provide more jobs for Vermonters. A great loss to our state is the exodus of many Vermonters to jobs in other states. We have paid for educating these people, but other states get the returns from this investment." Best of luck to you both.
