A Class Executive Meeting was held recently in New York to discuss class organization and affairs. The committee selected Ed Boyle as Chairman of the class for the remainder of 1958, to be succeeded by Howie Clery until 1963. Ted Spiegel has been given the responsible job of Class Agent. Our congratulations and best wishes to these class officers who will guide our ship through the next five years of alumni life and achievement.

Had a very interesting letter from John Bender recently which relayed the fact that he and Russ Henry were present and actively engaged in helping Jack Amerman and Jerry Thompson tie-the-knot in Gadsden, Ala. John writes:
I doffed the Navy blue as of October '56, after which I took up as accountant with the Chase Bag Company in their multiwall bag plant in Crossett, Ark. Was made officer manager in October '57. Alice and I now have three children - John, age three and a half, Patty is two and Tom is six months. We now owe ourselves to the Southern Federal Savings and Loan but it's wonderful to be in our own home. On other news Bayee married in Singapore and is living in Honolulu. Mouldy Confair and Dtanne are out of the Army now and working in Williamsport, Pa., bottling Seven-up, I presume. Jim Boen has his Doctor's degree in Chicago and is married. Jake Jacobus also got out of the Air Force and is now a construction engineer in Midland, Tex. Bob C hies a is now married and is after his law degree at Boston University. Spread the word that the door is open at 705 Hickory Street, Crossett, Ark., should anyone get off the beaten track and head down into this area.
Jack Tangerman pens a note from 624 Park Avenue, Wilmette, Ill., to let us know that he is working for the USASIPRE of the CE, more commonly known as the United States Army Snow, Ice, and Permafrost Research Establishment of the Corps of Engineers in Wilmette. Jack says, "this job enables me to avoid the Midwestern summer heat waves by traipsing off to Greenland (Thule area) in the summer for nearly three months. I guess no one ever reported the pride of my life, Kristin Scott, born in August 1956. Blonde like her Ma and Pa, but twice the personality."
"Pud" and Liz Harrison write that they now are the proud parents of two sons, a year and a half and six months. "Pud" is currently a Navy doctor, working with about 1000 marines at Camp Pendleton in southern California.
