This month's news is full of success, at work and at home. Bob Mitchell is vice president of men's merchandising for Mitchells of Westport, New England's largest independent clothing store. Bob lives in Weston, Conn., with his wife, Karen, and works alongside his brother, father, and other family members. The Mitchells' store was the first retailer to be featured in IBM's national small-business ad campaign in February. Bart Masucco recently acquired the Countryside Veterinary Clinic in Wrentham Mass. He was previously a staff veterinarian at a clinic in Natick where he developed advanced surgical techniques for orthopedic injuries and gastrointestinal abnormalities. Bart earned his degree from Tufts, and he's treated a wide range of animals, from cats and dogs to iguanas and rabbits. Not content with seeing animals only at work, Bart keeps busy on the side showing horses and raising dogs.

Valerie Frankel recently co-wrote TheHeartbreak Handbook. The book offers helpful hints on breaking up, including "How to get your stereo out of his apartment" and How men suffer—indeed, the shortest chapter of the book, but nonetheless worth mentioning." Needless to say, this book is written from the female point of view! Val worked at New York magazine, is the author of the Wanda Mallory Mystery series, and is currently a features editor at Mademoiselle

Peter Young and his wife, Amy Byron '90, joyfully announce the birth of their son Nathaniel Robert on April 8. Congratulations! (I'll take this opportunity to remind you to put me on your birth announcement list or forward me those you receive from friends. We need to start building the class list for 2015 or thereabouts.)

Chrissy Sterns Drescher acting in her role as head class agent, would like to publicly thank all class agents for their hard work on the 1994 Dartmouth Alumni Fund, and to extend that thanks as well, obviously, to all donors. Our gifts help keep Dartmouth strong tor the present and future generations of students. (At press time, I do not have final totals but will publish them as soon as possible.)

Hope you're having a dreamy, relaxing summer. Send me a postcard from your vacation.
