Laura Turnbull Locklear is setting her sights on the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta next summer. She hopes to compete in the single sculling event. Before starting training fulltime in Virginia, she was a manager with Landmark Education, a personal development company. Husband Eric is a budget analyst for the Agriculture Department.

Speaking of the Olympics, Liz Mclntyre adds to her silver medal in the 1994 women's downhill a formidable talent in mountain biking. Liz now lives in Winter Park, Colo., and alternates seasonally between mountain biking and skiing.

A group of '87s with ties to the Dartmouth film department are making their name in film in NYC. Ricki Stern, Andrew Asnes, and Emerson Bruns are working with other alums to produce short films and documentaries. Ricki's recent film, Neglect Not the Children, won a local Emmy for Excellence, while featuring an all-Dartmouth production team.

Carroll Rios de Rodriguez and husband Tomas announced the birth of their fourth child, Juan Jose. The family makes their home in Guatamala, where Tomas is working for a distributor of SONY and Carroll has been taking classes at the university.

Abdish Bhavsar, M.D., has been appointed to the board of directors of the New City YMCA in Chicago, one of the larger and more unique Ys in the city.

Chris Thompson is vice president, U.S. equity, with BEA Associates. He was formerly with Brown Brothers Harriman.
