A festive holiday season to all! And may the New Year be filled with opportunities and joy for you and your families. In light of my new responsibilities, I've taken to reading the wedding announcements in the Sunday New York Times, and what an enlightening experience it can be! I discovered that Chris Thompson married Elizabeth Keenan '88 in New Orleans in October. That must have been a fun Psi U-KK.G reunion-perhaps with a Cajun twist? Chris is an assistant manager at Brown Brothers Harriman in New York City.
I received a letter from Virginia LawreckMuzquiz, who with husband Victor recently incorporated Aztec International, a company dedicated to promoting the Spanish language through study-abroad opportunities, private classes and tutorials, interpreter services, etc. Virginia recently left Deerfield Academy to pursue a Ph.D. in Spanish at Washington University in St. Louis, having completed a master's at Middlebury in 1991. She regrets missing this summer's reunion, but she was in Mexico with 45 high school students. Wow! Now there's a woman of fortitude.
The undergraduate Office of Admissions at Babson College named Kathy Foley assistant director. Prior to her appointment Kathy worked for Hill, Holliday as the assistant project director for the marketing research and planning development department. The picturesque town of Wellesley makes a nice change from the Hancock Tower—definitely better for running at lunchtime, as I often saw her do. Best of luck, Kathy!
Peabody Construction announced Kathleen Joyce has been named business development executive, responsible for marketing and communications as well as new business development. Peabody's clients include such prestigious projects as Boston City Hospital's inpatient facility, Boston Public Library's McKim Wing restoration, and the new Norman Rockwell Museum. Kathleen has been in the construction industry in Boston for five years and was previously director of marketing for P & D Contractors. Congratulations also to Wendy Chronister, who recently finished law school and passed the bar in Illinois. She is clerking for a judge in bankruptcy court in Chicago, and she recently enjoyed a West Coast reunion with Lisa Sweeney and Ellen Procter Wilson.Jeff Moore has joined the Grosfillex sales team as sales rep for the exterior products division in the Southern California area.
