Greetings as we enter mud season! I can only dream of it as I write this and watch the 999 th snowstorm of 1994 blanket my backyard. Oh well. I hate to start with business... but here it is. Betsy Wall Rutherford, proud new mother of a baby girl named Emily, paused from the eternal diaper-changing cycle to ask that you send in your class dues, which go to cover your subscription to this magazine, mini-reunions and other items. Please make Betsy's life just a little bit easier by mailing your check for $25 to her at 246 Waxter Way, Baltimore, MD 21217.

Speaking of children, Anne MarieLaMarche married Greg Hampstein in September and became "instant Mom" to Nicole 13 and Michael 11. "So now, in addition to teaching math at Harvard Westlake School in Bel Air, Calif., coaching cross-country and track, and tutoring until 9 p.m. each night, I get to pack lunches and help with science projects. Fortunately, the kids have their sights set on Dartmouth!"

Derek Lopez was recently spotted on the ABC Evening News in a segment on adoption. It seems Derek has joined the ranks of parenthood with the adoption of two young sons. Congratulations and good luck to all our new parents!

Drew Desky sent me news over the holidays regarding lots of old Glee Club buddies. Drew had a solo with a University Glee Club concert in January at Lincoln Center—a far cry from Spaulding. He wrote that StephanieTaylor is a dietician and nutritionist at Meadowlands Medical Center in Secaucus, N.J. Hollie Manheimer is wrapped up in starting her own legal practice in Atlanta. RobSkolits starred in The Merchant of Venice in a Chicago production in August. Susan Vaules is combining careers by taking acting classes while working for National Geographic in Washington, D.C.

Remember when the movie "Top Gun" was such a hit our junior year? Well, our own reallife top gun Tim Rooney, a navy lieutenant, recently returned from a six-month Mediterranean and Red Sea deployment aboard die U.S.S. Theodore Roosevelt. Tim flies F-14A Tomcat jets, and his mission overseas was to provide support for military operations in Bosnia and also Operation Southern Watch, enforcing the no-fly zone over Southern Iraq. During the tour, Tim managed to visit Rhodes, Corfu, Greece, and Naples. Not too shabby! Welcome home, Tim.

And on the wedding front, Pam Haering married Dan Hagermann in September in her hometown of Bethlehem, Pa. I had a first-hand account from one guest who summed up the bash by saying simply, "It was the only wedding I've ever been to where the guests danced between courses!" The glowing bride's attendants included Amy Strasser, Alison Oberman, and Liz Spear. Guests included WendyChronister, Betsy Fagerstrom Brady and husband Grant, Michael Kong, Steve Utensky, and Luann Zurlo. Pam and Dan work in Chicago.

Please note my new address and send me your latest! I'd love some mail in my new mailbox.
