Plans for the 15th Reunion dinners all over the country on the weekend of June 5-7 are well under way. The Boston committee (Edgar, Martin, Nixon and Norris) sent out a post card to get a line on how many will attend a get-together at some hotel in Boston on June 7.
The New York Committee (Carr, Heep, Lewis and Treanor) is arranging a dinner on June 5 because Saturday night is more convenient for the many out-of-town '28ers who want to attend.
In Philadelphia, John Flanagan and Ernie Wright have everything all set at the Yale-Dartmouth Club, 8th floor of the University Club, for either June 5 or 7, depending on which the majority favors.
John O'Sullivan and Jerry Johnston have planned a dinner for the Detroit area at the Hotel Statler on June 7. Woody Isham is chairman of the Washington committee and Fred Stone is in charge in Chicago. Details of all dinners will be given in the Campaigner appearing soon.
The service roster contains 125 names now, seven names having been added in the past month: Aby, Chapin, Hackett, Hyman, Miller, Sensenig and Weeks.
Thirty per cent of the Class is now in the armed forces, not counting two Naval Reservists, Ham Hankins and Bill McRoberts, who have not been called to active duty due to the importance of their present jobs. Ham is operations manager of the Africa-Orient Division of Pan American Airways, located in Miami. Bill is airport manager at Fairbanks, Alaska, for Pan American.
Howie Chapin was commissioned a captain in the Army in March Lt. Herb Sensenig, assistant professor of German at Dartmouth, is on duty at Army headquarters in Washington Collie Weeks is an officer candidate at Ft. Washington, Md.
Ted Granville Smith of New York and Bucky Stoler of Boston have applied for Naval Reserve commissions and are waiting for the wheels to grind in Washington.
Major Curley Prosser did extremely well at the difficult General Staff School at Ft. Leavenworth, I am reliably informed by Major Jerry Pitts. As a consequence of standing so high in his class, Curley was re-sentenced to Washington instead of being ordered overseas. He is in the Distribution Division, Office of Assistant Chief of Staff for Operations.
Nine 'aBers were at the annual Dartmouth dinner in New York: Jack Barry, Bill Cogswell, Ed Heyn, Lt. (jg) Red Jenkins, Lt. Hank Leach of the Army Air Corps, just transferred to Governors Island, Bruce Lewis, Lt. Roy Myers, Bob Rockhill and Bill Treanor. Bob Rockhill was making his last public appearance as a civilian, for a few days later he entered the Army. Roy Myers' anti-aircraft unit is protecting the Curtiss Wright plant in Paterson, N. J.
The strong interest which '28 wives have in their husband's College and Class is shown in the mail received every week. The latest mail brings welcome letters and contributions from Agnes Boughton and Sal Foote. Lt. George Boughton of the Navy Supply Corps has been at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, since January. Agnes says, "He likes it there very much. Knowing how busy he is I am enclosing a contribution for him." Sal sends a picture of Dick for the '28 Navy Album, says he is C. O. of an L. C. ship on overseas duty.

Sgt. Larry Miter writes from the Middle East that he enjoys the ALUMNI MAGAZINE very much and sends a picture I had asked for of himself in front of the Sphinx and a Pyramid.
Lt. Jack Cook is Line Officer, District Security Force and also a member of the General Court Martial at the Great Lakes Naval Training Station, Illinois.
Lt. Sherm Baketel, our only member of the Coast Guard, has completed two years of sea duty and is now in the Personnel Office, Coast Guard Receiving Station, Boston. (Sounds like a lead for some of you boys who are trying for commissions.)
Pictures of two 28ers appeared in the New York papers recently. John McGrath of Bonwit Teller resigned to become merchandise manager for misses and women's ready-to-wear at the Kresge Department Store, Newark. A few days later Standard Brands announced that Warren Burding, "who has been with the company for many years" (doesn't that make you feel oldl), had been appointed manager of the fresh foods division.
John Waters was named assistant director of advertising and promotion of the Armstrong Cork Cos. last month.
Al Lathrop made a speech at a recent meeting in Kansas City on Material Conservation in the Aviation Industry. Much of Al's time now goes to preparing training courses for the influx of untrained workers at the Curtiss Wright factory in St. Louis. In addition he is president of the St. Louis Dartmouth Alumni Association.
Chuck Goodman seems to be a tycoon down in Memphis—he is president of three companies: American Finishing Cos., Memphis Cold Storage Warehouse Cos. and Rauch Cos.
