he 60th reunion of class of 1946 has come and gone. How was it? Fabulous, wonderful, fantastic, all are words that seem to fit. This column doesn't permit a full report. Tom Adams and I are putting together a newsletter, complete with pictures, and we hope it will bring back fond memories to all who attended and give an idea of just how wonderful it was. Something like this always has a few glitches but I can't recall any. A great big thank you goes to reunion chairs Jim Von Rohr and Ray Dewees. They put it together with Tom Adams leading the publicity stuff. One hundred seventy-one attended, which breaks the 60th reunion record set by class of 1936. The number of classmates, not sure of, but will be recited in the newsletter. As I write we have raised $289,000 for the Alumni Fund. Our goal was $200,000. Another big thank you to all who made that possible. We held a class meeting and that will be covered in the newsletter also. I remind you that we have a mini-reunion set for October 12,13 and 14. Details will be in the newsletter. I realize some will miss it because of making the 60th. It's Dartmouth Night Weekend. Let's have a big turnout. For myself it was just super. Saw people I hadn't seen since 1942. And it was very moving to see classmates greet others. Some they hadn't seen since college days. We're thinking 65th already, so hang in. I mentioned a couple of people but now I want to say a great, great thank you to all for attending. You made it what it was.

On a sad note, I must report the deaths of classmates George N. Glass on January 6 and Donald R. Miesel on April 4. We extend our deepest sympathy to their families.
