I want to share a couple of exciting things with you. First, the Alumni Fund. Class of '46 you've done it again! Once more we lead all classes in percentage of our goal—155 percent, with a participation of 64 percent. That's all because we raised $132,000.00. Our leader, TomAdams is to be congratulated, but not less, all his agents, and most of all, you, who made it all happen. The second item is our mini- reunion. It's scheduled for October 30th, 31st, and November Ist. Walt Snicken-berger has once again put together a fine program. We'll dine at "Pierce's" (as in Reg andNancy Pierce) on Thursday; exciting speakers Friday a.m. and Saturday p.m.; "Dartmouth Night" and the bonfire on Friday p.m.; class meeting on Saturday a.m., and a football game Saturday afternoon against some school from down in Boston. John McClintock will be giving you all the details in his newsletter. Be there!

I finally caught up with old friend "Hank" Durham. He's been in Groton, Conn., for years but I was unable to get him up 'til now. "Hank's" been retired for five years from a company in Westerly, R.I. Keeps in shape on the links, was recently in Hanover to see his granddaughter, a junior at the college. Bit nostalgic, "Hank" says because she lives in what was once his fraternity house, Phi Gamma Delta.

The next three fellows once roomed together at Dartmouth. First there's PaulDonovan, who lives in Cohasset, Mass. Paul's retired from the Boston College faculty for several years. Before that he taught English in the public schools of Boston. Spends the winters in Naples, Fla. Then there's Jack Dover, now living outside of Morristown, N.J. For those who only know New Jersey for the turnpike, where Jack lives is absolutely lovely. One of New Jersey's finest areas, enhanced of course by the Dover family. Jack is long retired from the sugar business. Plays a bit of tennis and has a place in the Adirondacks. All you anglers take note that Jack is involved in a trout stocking program in the Adirondacks. Must say that's a new endeavor for our class. The last of that trio is Jim Hartman. Jim's in San Francisco and has been there for over 30 years. He was formerly in retailing with Saks, but for the last 20 years he's had his own financial planning company. Besides being roommates, all three were Marines in the V-12 program.

Once again I must pass on sad news to you. I have been advised of the passing of our classmates John F. Pfau and Charles A. Kessler. Our deepest sympathy goes out to their families.
