Our annual dinner meeting was attended by 36 alumni and their wives on April 18, 1968 at the University and Whist Club, Wilmington. Joel Poorman '54 received an enthusiastic response to his nominating committee's slate of new club officers which were quickly voted into office by acclamation. The officers for the next year are: LeeFoote '64, president; Ken Lundstrom '55, secretary; and Tom Herlihy '57, treasurer. Our departing president Dick Bugbee '57 had a highly successful term of office which saw increased attendance at our bi-weekly luncheons, more vigorous contact with local secondary schools, and a large turn-out for the local-Ivy League Scholarship Ball.
Our guest speaker was Athletic Director Seaver Peters '54 who gave us an up-to-date report on athletics at Dartmouth as well as discussing other aspects of academic and student life. Pete drove up from Washington to be with us after attending a luncheon meeting with that club earlier in the day. A lively discussion period followed by the Football Highlights Film completed a fine evening of Dartmouth fellowship.
We look forward to meeting with all Delaware alumni at our bi-weekly luncheons in Wilmington. Please call Coleman Dorsey's ('52) office (656-8349) for further information.
