We may get one more chance at advertising the Big Reunion before our Hanover dates of June 22, 23.. 24. Let us hope that this reaches you before that time. Sam Cutler has announced further breakdowns on the estimated cost. The tax for men will be $13.00 and the extra cost for women will be $6.00. These costs do not include the room charges of $2.00 per night per person. Please get your reservations in now if you have not already done so.

This year we are not competing in the Little Green Derby again for the Alumni Fund drive. We have come of age and are now competing with classes from 1937 up through 1945 in the Green Derby. This competition will, of course, be stronger than what we have experienced to date. However, on the first report that I have, we are in 3rd place. Let's all give Don DeB and his cohorts a big hand and get our cash and pledges in so that they can relax.

That cleans up the news items on hand. This will be my final column if I remember the schedule correctly. At the reunion you will elect a new executive body who will in turn name a new secretary. With this column I complete my fourth year as your secretary. It has been a lot of fun. However, sometimes those deadlines were hard to make. I made only one major promise when I accepted this job; to have a column for the Class of 1945 in every issue of the ALUMNI MAGAZINE. That has been done. I want to thank those of you who have helped make this job fun. Your encouraging words were very much appreciated. Our Alumni Fund victories have made me proud to represent you. I step down from this job feeling as I did when I stepped into it: that the spirit of the Class of 1945 is something wonderful.
