"Having had my 74th birthday the 9th of last November, it seemed advisable that the work and responsibilities, which I have carried so many years, be lessened. Therefore, Mr. Robert C. Trier Jr. has been made Manager. I am to continue with the Company as Treasurer and one of the Directors. I will, of course, help out where possible. There are some other matters beside the hotel business that require considerable attention. I have just completed my twentieth annual report as Treasurer of the Town of York." That's a modest interim statement by Gil Moulton of his outstanding accomplishment as Manager of The Marshall House and The Emerson, two of New England's outstanding Hotels at York Harbor, Maine, and devoted service to his native town for twenty years.
Ferdinand Edgerly and Ralph Dillon of Manchester, N. H., won the New Hampshire State Championship at Contract Bridge byoutdistancing the field in the 15th Annual Tournament on March 25.
