For the third year in a row plans for a class get-together on the occasion of the Boston Alumni Dinner, February 9, are being made at the Statler. Robbie, Squid and Carl will expect men of the class whether or not they are attending the main event to arrive at the 1904 ringside any time after 2:30 p.mWhile you are enjoying Boston—the Reunion Boys—Bartlett in Arizona—Rollins in' Florida —will cover the country like our Dec. snow storms with placards Dartmouth '04, Hanover, June iy-18-19.

Early in December Mr. and Mrs. Robert DBrewer of Hingham announced the engagement of their daughter, Ruth, to Mr. John M. Dunlap Jr., of Rosemont, Pa. Miss Brewer, a graduate of Milton Academy, served with the U. S. Marine Corps Women's Reserve, and is attending Hickox Secretarial School. Mr. Dunlap was graduated from Bowdoin College. He served in the Naval Reserve for four years, two years as an ensign.

This number of the MAGAZINE is given over to the Alumni Fund and our column shows, better than could any words of mine, the accomplishment of the man who is at the masthead. We believe that Squid's enthusiasm and class spirit will succeed in bringing a higher percentage than ever before to Hanover in person for our 45th, and that our support for the Fund will be substantial.

February birthdays may well start letterwriting with the reunion on June 17-18-19 asa stimulant. February dates of importance to1904 are: Bth, Callman; 10 (twins) Hastingsand Sayles; 11th (twins again) Austin andTurner; 15th, Hardy; 16th, Nelson; 18th,Perkins; 19th, Ames; 20th, Wood; 28th, Terrien.

This letter from Mary Perry shows a courageous acceptance of her sorrow:

"My Louis passed away December 28th in the Cape Cod Hospital in Hyannis. He had a bad heart condition for over a year, however his retirement from United Shoe Machinery Corporation did not take place until October Ist.

"We sold our home in Braintree and came down here to this beautiful spot on the Cape in November. His passing was very peaceful; there was no suffering at all. I buried him here in Harwichport in a quaint old cemetery; Mt. Pleasant, which adjoins the Golf Course. That he would have liked very much.

"His loyalty and love for Dartmouth and all his classmates of 1904 was a beautiful thing. Penfield Mower and Johnny Ward knew all about that. Two years ago last fall we spent our vacation in the White Mountains in September. We stayed Mar Hanover and toured the vicinity thoroughly. He enjoyed that trip to the utmost."

Sunday, January 9, Bob Brewer died after a sudden and brief illness. The services are to be held in Hingham at the Church of St. John the Evangelist, January 12 at 3 o'clock, and will be attended by many of the class from the Boston area. This notice, added hurriedly, will be augmented in the next number of the MAGAZINE.

We would share with the sorrowing family happy recollections and cherished memories of nearly half a century.
