The first list of those men who were former members of . the DNAA and have expressed a desire to become affiliated with our class is now in my possession. I'm proud to announce that we have 40 new members with the promise of more to come. Again, on behalf of the class I welcome these men to our midst. By the time you read this these men will have had a letter from me with more details.
In regard to the article about Dune Fitchet and his work with Rand McNally in the January issue, you'll be interested to know that his work as editor of the Cosmopolitan World Atlas was largely responsible for that publication's receiving the CareyThomas Award for the best example of creative publishing in 1949. This award is sponsored by Publishers' Weekly. A big fat Wah Hoo Wah for Dune!
Looks like the '46's are really moving into the literary field. The February nth issue of Colliers contains an article entitled "Out of This World: A Journey to Lhasa" and written by Sonny Thomas and his world famous Dad. Sonny's photographs are wonderful and I'm sure you'd find it an interesting article.
Wedding bells know no season. B. PopeMarion and Nancy Rice Holmes of Boston were married in Cohasset on January 21. Harvey Schiff and Nancy Fingerheit of Brooklyn were married on December 18 in that city. Harvey is at NYU College of Medicine.
Beaucoup engagements to report from over the holidays. I'll be as brief as possible because the Alumni Fund Report has priority.

Leonard Wilson and Nancy Vail of North Salem, N. Y., announced their engagement on December 17. Len is with Standard Oil of New Jersey. Jim Crawford and Jean MacKinnon of Westport, Conn., on December 10. Jim is with Dun & Bradstreet. Great letter from Bill Burner finally found its way to me. Bill is now Men's Shoes Editor for Footwear News in New York. He and his bride, the former Anne Noble of Winnetka, 111., are living in Plainfield, N. J. Another vote of thanks to Bob Kimball for the fine job he's doing as Class Agent.
And now, Mrs. Pettibone, if you please.
