A letter from Lull says: "I have had a very interesting visit of about ten days in Mexico. If you have never been there, it will pay you to make a visit to that country whenever you can find an opportunity. You will see some examples of wonderful construction of pyramids, citadels, etc., by the old Toltecs and Aztecs in the vicinity of Mexico City, which stand up today in splendid condition after an existence of at least five or six hundred years. Mexico City is on a plateau, elevation of 7350 feet, completely surrounded by high mountains reaching elevations of from 11,000 to 18,000 feet above sea level, providing a wonderful piece of natural scenery. The business, political, and general living conditions in Mexico at this time are much too complicated to be described in a brief letter."
