Hello, class of 'O4. Wishing you a happy spring! Here's the latest: In case you've given up on reading The D Online, you may not have heard that Dan Preysman was one of 12 recipients of a George J. Mitchell Scholarship, which recognizes Americans who exhibit high standards of academic excellence, leadership and community service. Dan will be studying journalism at Dublin City University. Dan has spent the last year and a half in San Francisco, as an intern at The New York Times. Congratulations!

Caz Liske recently wrote in to tell me that he's working on a puppet theater project at the Moscow Art Theater in Russia with Paul Marino, Thom Pasculli '05 and Andrew Dahl '05. Its called If This is a Man, which is Caz's translation of Primo Levis play about his one-and-ahalf-year internment in Auschwitz. They will be in Moscow through the end of February and early March (as I write this).

Many of our classmates have taken part in the volunteering efforts of Hands On USA, a grassroots group based out of Biloxi, Mississippi, that has been working on Hurricane Katrina relief. Janos Martin and Carrie O'Neil have been down in Mississippi since October, while Beau Saccoccia, John Harlow, Jamie Perencevich, Lydia Smith, and Paul Marino have all donated their time and efforts to cleaning up hurricanedamaged areas. They all report that they've had a moving and rewarding experience, and encourage our entire class to look into taking some time to work for Hands On USA.

Brian Ferguson reports that he is Californiabound, as he has accepted a job at General Mills as an operations manager for one of its cereal plants. Brian is finishing up his master's in engineering management at Dartmouth, and reports that Eleanor Alexander just finished her M.E.M. and is also going to work at GE.

Finally, for those of you who receive the Lands' End business-wear catalog, you might have noticed our Annie Snider modeling a sweater on page 17. And that's it for these Notes—wishing you all a happy spring and hoping you'll contact me with any new updates in the next few months!
