Our 66th reunion is now history. President Stan says it "brings out vestiges of our youth that remain in spite of the reality of our years." He reports: "We went over the top on alumni giving, exceeding our figures." Thanks to all.
We are all grateful to Bill Rotch for carrying on our super Mint Bags, even without the devoted help of our late classmate, Mort Berkowitz. If there was ever a better class newsletter, we have never seen it.
Jane Pettee reports the death of Roger on June 14. And granddaughter Diana Bullen records the passing of her grandmother, Sarah Hyatt Bullen, widow of Halsey G. Bullen. Halsey and Sarah produced H.G.B. Jr., who graduated from our alma mater in '66, and he fathered Diana '98.
I have completed the sequel to Salem Lady, and am debating whether to call it The Good Wife or The Slave Trader. Some good stuff on the origins of the slave trade. Charlie Blaisdell and Jerry Low have been trying to stir up a New York City publisher, but so far it will not compete with Harry Potter. Jerry and Mary Ellen are planning to escape the New York winters by coming to Vero Beach, where both Hank Doremus and I will welcome them.
