Only six months to Reunion (our 45th, June 11-14) and it is time to get serious about attending. Let's face it; we won't be having many more when we can all gather with reasonable mobility and remembrance of each other. All too often now we only get together to pay last respects to each other. This will be a fun-filled and eventful time and your reunion committee is working hard to make this the best class reunion ever. So put it on your calendar now and plan your vacation around it! We want to see everyone in the class at this event.

The Phi Delts have been successful with their mini-reunions by organizing a system whereby all members are called by others and urged to attend. Doing this for the whole class is difficult but we will try to get our act together and personally contact each member and urge him to attend the reunion. In the meantime, don't wait for a call from the class; get on the phone or the 'Net and urge your friends to come. The Ledges group has managed to have 100-percent attendance in 1998 and this July in Sun Valley. Pat and Jack Billhardt hosted the eight couples who were room/house mates during fifth year at Tuck and Thayer. Hiking, fly fishing, horseback riding and picnicking were enjoyed by Jaqui and Dick Zock, Jane and Tom Healy, Carole and Don Ford, Abby and Tom Rosenwald, Ginger and Doug Keare, Jane and Em Houck, and Sandra and Tom Harper. (All have pledged to be at reunion next year as well).

Another good reason to come to Hanover next fall is to check out the College, its students and all the new construction. The new addition to Baker will be open, and there is all sorts of building activity going on in the old hospital area. And it is always a treat to meet and talk to those students who are still on campus. The weather is always good, and the hospitality and friendship are unsurpassed. So plan to be there!

For the first time ever, the class won the Alumni Fund Green Derby, beating out the classes of'57,'58, '59 and '61 for the prestigious prize. Points are based on participation, number of leadership donors and the fact that we set a class record for giving in a non-reunion year. Our 63-percent participation was one of the best for the entire College, and 15-percent above the average for the fund. Well done to all members of the class who rallied so strongly, and kudos to all the hard working class agents and to Jack Billhardt for a job well done!

There was an old man named Bob, Who worked with an aerospace mob.

Day in and day out 'till his wife she did shout

IT'S TIME TO RETIRE FROM THAT JOB!

Bob Long took that advice and went into consulting. He's working at home, in Corrales, New Mexico, communicating by e-mail, and loving it.
