Well, folks, in the fervor of this election year, have you figured out what you would do if you were suddenly promoted from vice president to CEO? And have you found yourselves wondering how, on Capitol Hill, a danish and coffee could possibly cost ten grand? We've certainly never had to pay that much to dine with Louisa.

As promised, Rob Worley took copious notes at the Jennifer Hughes-DougSmith wedding, which took place in Menauhanters, Mass., on October 1. Some 35 Dartmouth alums attended, including Carol Kurtz Bates, Elyse Benson Allan,Cindy Marder Galder, Brendon Cameron, Kevin Cullen, Cinda Fernald, El Presidente, Kathy Harper and John Gilbertson, Nan Hart, Kim and Joe Henley,Eve Pratt Hoar, Otho Kerr, MargaretAvril Lawson, Michelle Kane O'Donnel,Libby Roberts, Dave VanWie, NancyWilder, and John Moragne. Gail Frawley also attended she is pursuing a medical degree in New York. Beth Blatt, another guest, will soon be leaving for Tokyo, where she will be playing Alexis in the off-Broadway version of "Dynasty." Finally, Rob reports that Beth and Phil O'Dence are expecting a baby this fall. The newlyweds, by the way, are spending their honeymoon in Peru, not North Mass.

Having graduated from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine with honors, Dave Springer has joined an ophthalmology practice in Oak Park, I11.; Dave specializes in cornea and external eye diseases.

Paula Sharp has written a novel which recently was published by Harper & Row and which was selected as an alternate selection of the Book of the Month Club. The tide is not "A History of the Dartmouth Fraternity System," but rather, "The Woman Who Was Not All There." The book explores single parenthood in the South during the 1960s. The first chapter received the Distinguished Artist Award from the New Jersey State Council. Paula is a graduate of Columbia Law and is a public defender in New York City.

Gridiron fans who attended the Holy Cross game tell me that the contest was far closer than indicated by the score. Hopefully, under the guidance of Buddy Teevens, the team will fare better when it returns to Ivy play. At least Columbia broke its streak against Princeton.

Enjoy the holidays and pay your class dues.
