What a fabulous tenth reunion we had! This class really knows how to put on a party. Kudos to the reunion committee and especially its chairman, Tom Parnon. Over 600 people came, and we raised $150,000 (a new record!) Those of you who missed it must come to the 15th.

By Friday afternoon, the reunion was already in full swing. It was incredible to see how many children our class has produced! Despite the measles scare, approximately 200 little greeners were in attendance. The Baby Boomlet has definitely arrived.

The Friday dinner was in Thompson Arena, and Julie Schuetz Lowe organized a reunion of Glee Clubbers who tried to remember words to Dartmouth songs during dessert. Then it was on to the tent, where we tried to remember names to Dartmouth faces!

Saturday was full of activities satisfying every whim—a seminar on mental fitness, a class meeting and election of officers, a panel on managing careers and families, with Mary Walkush Beach and her husband, Murray T'79, Robert Wetzel and his wife Gretchen '77, Guy Matthews '77, and Cheryl Newman and her husband Charlie Wise '78; a picnic at Storrs Pond; and aafternoon panel on the early years of coeducation at the College, where one of six panelists was Mary Ellen Donovan, author of Women and Self-Esteem.

The Saturday evening reception and banquet were held in the Bema. The food, conversation, beautiful setting, and the profound words of John Kemeny brought back many fond memories. The tent provided more music, beverages, and memories, and many of us stayed up "later than we have in years" trying to make it last.

Sunday's brunch in the Bema was the finale of the weekend, and was also a memorial concert for Mark Lebowitz '77. KatieLebowitz was at the reunion with her husband, David Lockard, and her parents joined them for the Sunday concert. The Aires and Distractions/Woodswind performed, and we also heard from Parker"Speedy" MacDonell, who has produced two albums of his original music. He continues to sing and write music as an avocation, but, having just completed a master's degree at Yale's School of Management, he has accepted a position at Bank One in Columbus, Ohio.

Our classmates are involved in such interesting and diverse pursuits, and I will try to recount a few, knowing that I am leaving out many people and hoping others will write so that I may include their stories in future columns.

Cheryl Newman and Barry Arnold traveled the farthest to be at reunion. Cheryl has been living in Tokyo with her husband, Charlie, and their two children. She recently published a book discussing strategies for dual career families. Barry flew in from Singapore, where he is general manager for American Express Travel Related Services.

Tom and Adrienne (Alexander) Ruegger came from Los Angeles, where Tom is a producer for Hanna Barbera and Adrienne is doing voice-overs for cartoons. My daughter can't believe that I know the person behind the voice of "Catrina" on "Pound Puppies." Also coming from southern California were Craig Stone and his wife, Carrie. They are developing their own mail order catalogue business. Keep your eyes out for it in August 1988.

The Seattle contingent included Jim andMartha Johnson Beattie with their children, Sam and Nel (one of the youngest attendees.) They love Seattle, where Martha is coaching a women's crew team, and Jim will begin a full-time M.B.A. program at the University of Washington. Eric Copenhaver and his wife are also living in Seattle. Eric came alone to reunions and made many phone calls home because of his imminent fatherhood. Congratulations! Rick Hill, his wife, Sue, and their son, Jamey, were living in Seattle until recently. They are now living in Wellesley, Mass., where Rick continues with Continental Bank.

Jody Karp and Dave Magnus came all the way from Corrales, N.M., where Jody is working for Public Service of New Mexico. I hear she is also singing and acting, as always!

Several of our classmates are working in the arts. Carol Vaughn is a curator at the Guggenheim in New York, Peter Gergeley keeps his fingers in art while serving as a pediatrician for West Point, and Paul Lazarus is directing plays in NYC. DavidShribman is living in Washington, D.C., and writing for the Wall Street Journal. He covered Gary Hart's campaign in 1984 and all of the recent events of the Hart campaign for the presidency. He, too, seemed baffled by the recent scandal.

Anne Stockmar Upton came with her husband, John '74, and their two children. They live in Maine, where John practices law and Anne is making impressive commercial real estate deals. She continues her interests in historical preservation and antiques. They love Maine, where they returned after a short stint in Concord, N.H.

Jay Josselyn deserved great praise for his hard work as our class president. He and his wife recently purchased and are managing her family's pharmacy. Also in business for herself is Jennifer Kemeny, who attended the reunion with her husband, Luc Beaubien. Jenny has her own consulting business based in their picturesque Rowley, Mass., home. She is designing state-of-the-art management decision models. Luc is a venture capitalist. In the Boston area: Jeff Colt continues to do research for Polaroid; Greg Cronin lives in Needham, Mass., with his wife, Kerry, and their two sons. He was recently promoted to vice president of Cronin Electronics, Inc.; Nancy Kepes Jeton is city planner for Andover, Mass., is a new mother, and a member of the Alumni Council. Thanks, Nancy, for your hard work as chair of the nominating committee which resulted in the following new officers: president, CharlieThayer; treasurer, Carey Heckman; newsletter editor, Nancy Kepes Jeton; and alumni councilor, Nick Aponte. Congratulations to you all, and many thanks to the officers and committee members who served for the past six years. It's hard to believe 11 years have past since we broke our pipes and six since we last convened.
