Aaron Daniels is headed for the big time in the Big Apple; he has been made president of the ABC Radio Network. He and Judy had been living in the Providence, R. I., area, where he was president/ general manager of WPRO radio station. Previously Aaron had been with Fairchild Publications and had spent 10 years in Patterson, N.J., as sales manager at WPAT. Congratulations!

After a lifetime with Merrill Lynch, Dick Canton has joined Paine Webber as its New England manager of all offices, which sounds like a great move. He and Perk live in Marblehead, Mass.

The reason so many of your classmates are huddled on the San Andreas fault waiting for the Big One is the economic opportunity created by the microprocessor industry, whose pioneers include BillDavidow. Bill's new book, Marketing HighTechnology, is selling briskly and has been given rave reviews. Those of you who think anything west of Worcester, Mass., doesn't count should be aware that Harvard's Ted Levitt (arguably one of the most successful business writers of all time) called the book "a rare and marvelous book life will never be the same." As a 12-year veteran of the soap wars and a small-time high tech investor, I can only add' that Bill's book is impressive in its clarity and usable insights and a great read!

A lot of Coloradoans thought they would not have Monte Pascoe to kick around anymore when he lost the Denver mayorality race to Fredrico Pena in the spring of 1983. But no, Pena made Monte the czar of the Denver water board, which controls the warm and muddy South Platte River. Currently, Monte is up to his eyeballs in controversy but discharging his responsibilities with the intelligence and fairness that his pals know so well. We can count on hearing more on political activities from Monte in the future.

When Barry Rotman isn't managing his retail empire he does a great job as secretary of our Tuck class of '58. However, in his recent Tuck Today column, he must have been betrayed by his editors: out of the blue he had my sainted mother (84 years old and infirm) working in Washington at the House of Representatives. Actually, Mummy plays a little corner for the Rams, Barry.

Chuck Winslow is really on the move. After five years in Tokyo, he is returning to the U.S., where he will be working in the Columbus, Ohio, office of Arthur Andersen. Columbus is a fairly with-it town and should have a sushi bar or two to make the Winslows feel at home.

Bob Towbin is not only a very active senior partner of the very active L.F. Rothchild, Unterberg, Towbin but also into a wide range of outside activities. Now Dartmouth has tapped into his energy and has put Bob on the board of overseers at Hopkins Center.

There was an interesting item in the LosAngeles Times recently on Bob Adelizzi: did you know our Bob and Bill Cosby played on the same Quantico Marines football team way back when? It was a terrific team that thumped all comers. Bob and his bank have surfaced frequently over recent months (Forbes, Wall StreetJournal, etc.) as one of the first California savings and loans to get active in the credit card business.

A couple of classmates have remarried: Kansas City's John Holiday's new wife is Cecile, an anesthesiologist originally from Lebanon with stop overs in Egypt and Texas.

In Palos Verdes, Calif., Dave Vorse has married Marie Winkler. I don't know if Marie is as exotic as Cecile but Dave certainly is, having been a world class skier and the former president of Cherokee Airlines.

Class offspring getting married include the late Stan McCrea's beauteous daughter, Marcia. She is a Dartmouth graduate and was smitten by another Dartmouth graduate, Mr. Peter Clinton. They will be living in Tokyo, where he will be with Goldman Sachs.

Mai Robinson's Dartmouth son, Mai III, has just married Tracy Ann Mergenthaler, who, if her New York Times picture is any indication, is a real lovely lady. The Robinsons will live in New York, where Mai III is an account executive for Dancer Fitzgerald.

Now if you haven't gotten tired of seeing your classmates this fall in Annapolis and Hanover, come to Boston for New Year's Eve. Joe Stevenson will be your host and Eric Kunsel will be conducting the Boston Pops in a special concert.
