Spring is almost upon us and our mailbag is overflowing. Among the news items received this month is word that Scott Rosenblum was elected to partnership in the law firm of Stroock and Stroock and Lavan in New York City, where he specializes in corporate law. Wife Barbara writes that they have two beautiful children, Ari (age four) and Emma (age two), and have been living in Larchmont, N.Y., for three years.

Malcolm Jones has joined the public finance division of Lehman Brothers Kuhn Loeb in New York City. Richard Harvey is a vice president in the corporate finance division of the firm.

Gunnar Klintberg is still working in New York City, but now as an investment banker for Nordic American Banking Corporation in Manhattan. He is principally responsible for mergers and acquisitions of Nordic clients in the United States.

Mac Barrett has joined McCormick and Company Inc., a Baltimore-based international producer of seasonings, flavorings, and specialty foods, where he will serve as manager, press relations. For the past three years, Mac served as director of alumni relations and college promotions for Loyola College in Maryland, where he was responsible for coordinating alumni events and campus-wide activities. Prior to his Loyola appointment, he was vice president of Personal Management Associates Inc., a Baltimore-based sports management firm. He also served as assistant public relations director of the Baltimore Orioles for three years. He and wife Leigh live in the Elsinor Village area of Baltimore.

Darrel R. Gavle has been certified as a diplomate of the American Academy of Environmental Engineers. Tobe certified, he was required to complete oral and written examinations and to have completed a minimum of eight years of environmental engineering. Darrel received his engineering degree from the Thayer School in 1972, and he has been associated with the environmental engineering firm of Baxter and Woodman Inc., located in Crystal Lake, I11.

Having spent the past several years, covering crises in southern Africa, Iran, and Cuba as a political analyst for the Central Intelligence Agency, Randy Pherson is now working as the deputy national intelligence officer for Latin America. Randy writes: "It is an exciting but a demanding job as one hot situation follows another in El Salvador, the Falklands, Nicaragua, and Mexico. When the pressure gets to be too much, I just increase my running. I have two marathons under my belt and am now shooting for my third."

Rick Harris and his wife Nancy '7 1S have moved recently to Dallas, where Rick teaches the economics of unregulated firms at the Arlington School of Business of the University of Texas.

Finally, we received word that Donald Zeman has been selected as head coach of basketball at his alma mater, Antioch High School in Antioch, I11.
