By the time you read this, Ed Felt will have left his Ontario summer home to return to San Antonio via New Orleans.

Tom Sturgess appreciates the class birthday card, which he looks forward to yearly. It moved him to report that his wife Margaret has been laid up with a bad back. He was fortunate to have a daughter stay with her while he went from Atlanta to Hartford for his son's wedding. He misses Amos Blandin, who was an inspiration to all the brothers of Tri Kap.

Lois Morse finds the "Wah-Hoo-Wah" birthday card reassuring to receive and is looking forward to next year's 65th reunion, which comes on June 13-15, 1983. Reunion Chair Dick White will be writing to all. He is calling it "The Sizzling 65th."

We regret to report the death of Ivan Prowattain on August 14 after a long illness. Your secretary has sent his widow, Carolyn, sympathy on behalf of the class. Also, we have just received word from Dorothy Judd that her husband, Siegel W. Judd, died on September 2. Obituaries will appear in this or a later issue.

That was an excellent report 1918 Treasurer Dave Eckels (a '44 himself) sent us with the reminder that class dues are due for the 1982-83 year. Help Dave by prompt payment. On the reverse side send news for MAG or "Roar."

Our class's annual football rally was celebrated before the Penn game on September 18 at the customary Hanover Inn luncheon, shared with the ' 17 and ' 19 classes. Ed Felt was among those attending, and he reports that other '18ers and guests there were: Lyman Burgess, his wife Kathryn, and their guests, Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Autio; Chet Hulbert and his guest, Harold Hopkins; George von Kapff and his sisters, Eleanor Ziegler and Helen von Kapff; Bill Montgomery; Lois Morse; Howard Park; and Pat Stoddard.

All these were joined by Ethel Barr for refreshments after the game at Pat Stoddard's home, where the good fellowship overcame whatever disappointment there had been with the game itself. Also it was a lovely fall day.

Some classmates were able to see Stump Barr during the weekend and were pleased to find him holding his own and cheerful. A party of five who could remain in Hanover enjoyed dinner together at Norwich.
