With a record attendance, the Dartmouth Club of Princeton held its 1976 Husbands' and Wives' Dinner at the Hopewell Valley Country Club, Hopewell, N.J., on April 9. J. Michael(Mike) McGean '49, secretary of the College, was the principal speaker, bringing the group the latest news and views from the Hanover Scene.
President Paul T. Koenig '64 presided at the short annual business meeting which preceded the dinner. The nominating committee, comprised of Stanley C. Smoyer '34 and Kester R.Pierson '53, offered the following slate of officers and members of the executive committee: Elected unanimously were: president, Paul T. Koenig '64; vice president, Frank C. Cole '46; secretary, William L. Wilson '31; treasurer, Raymond A. Marks '57; committee members, Dr. Bruce J. Berger '66, Francis M. Austin Jr.'50, James S. Regan '64, John P. Hall Jr. '57,Alfred F. Bremble Jr. '56, and Stan Smoyer '34 and Kester Pierson '53.
In his remarks, Mike McGean touched on all major aspects of life on the campus this year and expertly handled a number of questions. Possible future changes in the male-female enrollment ratio were one of the main topics during the question period.
Treasurer Ray Marks reported that the post-game cocktail party following last fall's Dartmouth-Princeton football game had netted $542 for the Club's scholarship fund. A meeting of the new slate of officers and the executive committee was held on May 5. Broad plans for an active club program for the coming year were discussed and adopted.
