With the holiday season upon us, your class officers send their greetings and wish you and your family a Merry Christmas and a better year in 1976.

As you have already learned through Bob Fox's Newsletter, we had a good informal class reunion at the Hotel Coolidge, White River Junction, Vt., on October 11 after the Pennsylvania game. The attendance was somewhat below expectation due to the constant heavy rain throughout and following the game, but this didn't diminish in the slightest the spirit of those assembled. See the Newsletter for a list of the classmates, wives and guests who attended.

On the basis of the favorable reaction to our changing from the Norwich Inn to the Hotel Coolidge, we have again reserved the same facilities (the Vermont Room) at the Coolidge after the 1976 Harvard game which is scheduled in Hanover on October 16. More about this during the months ahead.

Incidentally, the 1976 football schedule includes some unexpected changes, namely that the schedule is being set ahead by a week, the first game being with Pennsylvania in Hanover on September 18; that the Harvard game is in Hanover on October 16, which is a week later than might be expected; and that the Princeton game remains in Princeton for a second year instead of alternating and is scheduled on November 13 as the last game. The other games are: New Hampshire in Hanover on September 25; Holy Cross in Worcester on October 2; Yale at New Haven on October 9; Cornell at Ithaca on October 23; Columbia in Hanover on October 30; and Brown in Providence on November 6.

Letters have been sent out by Carl Rugen to approximately 150 classmates in Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Delaware, Pennsylvania, and Maryland regarding another 1933 informal reunion before and after the Princeton game on November 22. Carl has made the usual excellent arrangements for the "Indoors Tailgate" luncheon gathering before the game, for a charter bus to and from the game, and for dinner after the game for those who are able to stay over. This will be another happy occasion for the '33ers attending, and details will be reported either in these notes or in the Newsletter as soon as possible.

Bob Fox has reported upon his retirement as of July 31, 1975 and upon his subsequent move from Boston's Beacon Hill to Chatham, Mass., and I am pleased to supplement this by calling attention to the fact that Bob was recently honored by the Alumni Association of the Boston University School of Medicine and the School of Graduate Dentistry, of which he was executive secretary from 1964 to 1975. Bob was made an honorary member of the Alumni Association and the Association has established the Robert S. Fox Library Fund, to be used to purchase books and other needed material for BUSM's Alumni Medical Library. Congratulations!

Address changes reported by the Alumni Records Office since the last publication are: J.Ross Gamble, 6 Reservoir Road, Apt. 113, Hanover, N.H. 03755; and Colver Gordon, 58 Longfellow Road, Wellesley, Mass. 02181.

Ken Jacques, who has his own orthopaedic and joint implant surgery medical group in Los Angeles, Calif., has been asked to go to Cairo with a group from the International College of Surgeons to speak on total joint replacement in May, 1976.

Sam Cunningham has confirmed that he plans to retire in 1976 and that he and his wife Madeline plan to establish their permanent home at 850 Mangrove Point Road, Siesta Key, Sarasota, Fla., after September 1, 1976.

We regret to report the passing of two more of our classmates, Frank Gump and Joe Celano, whose obituaries appear in this issue and in whose memory books are being presented to Baker Memorial Library.

Effective as of December 1, 1975 and until June 1, 1976 my secretarial address will again be - Box 160, Captiva, Fla. 33924. Do make a resolution for 1976 that you will write at least once during the year to one of the class officers or executive committee members of your choice about your doings and plans. We will be glad to share the good news with the other 33'ers.

1932 readers of an earlier issue who recall John Sheldon's "first and definitely lastelephant ride" are herewith presented the reason for his statement. The occasion was aChicago State Street festival and on board (sort of) are store executives (from left)Arthur E. Osborne, Norbert E. Armour, and John of Charles Stevens & Co.
