As usual, the Christmas mailbag was full of news from various far-flung '65s. I appreciate hearing from so many of you—with that much help the column almost writes itself.

Dave Blaine writes from Villa Park, Ill., that his firm, American Valuation Consultants, Inc., is thriving: from an original staff of four to a payroll of 25 in just 18 months. He and Donna will be building a new home in Barrington, Ill., soon. Dave is already talking about making his bundle and retiring at 40. Happy days!

Ken Lieberthal is presently an assistant professor of political science at Swarthmore. 1972 was a big year for him: November 15—Ph.D. m political science from Columbia; November 23—birth of Keith Lindsay Lieberthal. Ken and his wife Jane spent 1969-1971 in Asia—Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Japan—and they can't wait to go back" Research projects this summer will take them to London, Paris, and Majorca. Obviously, all is well with them.

Sad news to report of the death of FredBillmyer in an automobile accident during Thanksgiving week. His obituary will appear in this or a subsequent issue of the Alumni Magazine.

By the time you read this Ed Thomas will have forsaken bachelorhood for Miss Carol Jeanne Frost. They were engaged in October and planned a January wedding. Carol is a Middlebury grad (1971); Ed is with the First National Bank in Boston.

Fred Hill has become vice president of Warwick Radio Station Inc. in Rhode Island. He is also the treasurer and operations manager for station WARV in Warwick, R. 1., and vice president for programming of the Sconnix Group Broadcasting. Remember when he was king of the airwaves on Saturday nights in Hanover!

The Desert Research Institute (Las Vegas, Nev.) has announced the appointment of GeorgeLinkletter to the faculty of the Laboratory of Atmospheric Physics as an assistant research professor. Link comes to Nevada from Lafayette College where he was an assistant professor of geology.

Peter Baumbusch has joined the Los Angeles law firm of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher, one of the biggest and best in that West Coast city.

Bob Wildau has taken up residence in Cleveland and is a law student at Case Western Reserve.

That's all for now. I'd welcome any and all news from any of you who are interested in writing and/or seeing your name in green ink. There's an outside chance that next month's column may disclose the whereabouts of John Richardson and Ed Wynot - but no promises!

Happy days and peace!
