Under the able leadership of our current officers, Carl Shineman '33, president, JoeKepes '46, vice president, Allan Karcher '51, secretary, and Burt Dorsett '53, treasurer, the 1966-1967 year for the Dartmouth Club of Rochester should go down as one of its most active. Things got off to a good start with two busloads of local alumni making the trek to Ithaca for an excellent Cornell game. The trip was planned, arranged, and conducted by Jack Carey '49.
Next on the agenda was the annual Christmas luncheon chaired by Brud Hedges '59. Approximately seventy alumni and undergraduates gathered to meet the "Big Green" basketball team and to hear Doggie Julian prior to their runner-up participation in the Kodak Classic. A strong group of Dartmouth men was on hand both nights of the tournament to spur the team on.
Next on the agenda is the Dartmouth Cornell luncheon, sponsored by Cornell this year, with Jack Musick to tell his side of what happened in Ithaca. In February a stag night is planned featuring the "1966 Football Highlights" and hopefully narrated by .lake Crouthamel '60. Lee Horschman '60 is planning the evening. Our March event will be a concert on the 17th as the first stop for the 1967 Glee Club Tour. Frank Strong '56 and Wayne Givens '60 are the co-chairmen for our biggest event of the year and have already enlisted an eager committee for support. The concert will be followed by the traditional party and dance at the Genesee Valley Club.
For those who make it through the 17th we've still got the annual meeting, the picnic and the Rochester Ivy League Golf Tournament. What a year!
