This winter has been a very cold one and has produced several feet of snow and ice, so now we are looking forward to a February thaw. However we hope that skiing will continue to be good in the North Country.
Bill Smart and Ruth, like your secretary, have been bothered with a touch of Asian flu but are feeling much better at this writing.
Helen and Harry Porter of Old Town, Me., are in good health and enjoy the Dartmouth news in the ALUMNI MAGAZINE, as do Marjorie and Harry Oliphant of Portland, Me.
Don Williams of Keene, N. H., writes that he is improving in health and keeps busy which is something he likes. Howard M. Turtle has moved to a new apartment house at 54 Medford Street, Arlington, Mass. 02174. His wife, Agnes, is bedridden. Howard is planning to attend our 60th reunion in Hanover in 1967. Our very best wishes to you good folks.
I have received a letter from Mrs. Norah S. Hinman, 11 Laurel Avenue, Bradford, Mass., with the sad news that her husband, Canning Hinman, an honorary member of our class, passed on November 27, 1965. He died in his sleep after fifteen days in the hospital with emphysema. You will remember Canning because he always attended our reunions with his brother, the late Herbert D. Hinman of Hampton, Va.
Bishop Niles had word from Louis C.Wood, who writes that he will be back home again this spring on Route #1, East Waterboro, Me., to continue the development of the place as a tree farm and would welcome any Dartmouth men who like woodland, fishing, and hunting. Thanks for the invitation, Louis.
Harold and Mildred Jameson of East Oelwein, lowa, are well and are looking forward to making the trip to Hanover in June 1967.

Memorial services for Curtis Plummer were held at the Newton Cemetery chapel on Tuesday, December 21. Bishop Niles and your secretary attended the services at which there were a good many Dartmouth folks present. The Class of 1907 sent flowers. Tod will be greatly missed by us all, and we send our most sincere sympathy to Ruth and family: Cully Pierce from Jaffrey, N. H., called me on the telephone the night Tod died, December 18.
Russell B. Wright (Rusty) informs me that he has a grandson by the name of Dalrymple who is a member of the Class of 1967. Congratulations!
I have just received word from the underground that Bishop and Luna Niles flew to Florida in January and are at the Gulf and Bay Club, Sarasota. They plan to see many of our classmates while there; RobertKenyon, Leon Sprague, Allan Brown and others.
Well classmates, it's time to stop writing, but I will say that your secretary is looking forward to hearing from our Head Agent, Bob Kenyon, soon from Anna Maria, Fla., with reference to the 1966 alumni fund.
