I'm bunking from work today to watch the sixth game of the World Series in what might well be a history-making day - or so a Brooklyn fan would say. Anyways, my notes are due this Wednesday in Hanover, so I'll kill two birds with one stone, while the insurance business "suffers."
This Saturday the Big Green visits Providence to play Brown for the first time since that memorable day we watched Joe Sullivan direct that field-long surge in the last minutes to beat the Bear in Hanover - 13-10, I believe the score was. I'd just as soon see us win this one earlier in the game this year, as ulcers grow quicker now than they did when we were undergrads, and since we're o for 2 so far this season (as is Brown) maybe we're due. I don't know how many of you will be down for the game, but we expect a large gang, and Pat and I hope they'll help consume the two bowls of seabreezes I expect to have cooled for the occasion following the game. More on that next month.
By now you should have received your copy of the Class Directory so ably edited and constructed by Carl Struever. My thanks go to Carl for the work he did for such a fine effort.
