It's been raining five consecutive days now, so rather than get soaked again today walking the streets peddling million dollar policies, I guess I'll get this job done.
By now you've read about our planned N.Y.C. get-together at the Dartmouth Club in New York on Friday evening, June 12. By the time you read this also, "invitations" will have been sent out in the form of a double postcard. Please return your answer as soon as you can, because it makes our planning much easier. I've sent out only 125 invites... to the closest guys to New York, but if there are any of you who either didn't get one and should have, or who will happen to be in town that night and would like to go, drop me a line. You'll note that wives, etc. ARE INVITED, so make it an occasion. I'll be there, and I don't see how you can afford to miss my cheery face. Not a great abundance of hot news this month

A letter from Ed Clogston of Rosedale, N. Y., who's another insurance agent (he, incidentally, works for a direct competitor of mine). Ed has volunteered to be an Assistant Class Agent this spring, which indicates a great amount of class loyalty. Ed attended the D-Hofstra basketball game Ross Dunbar,Herb Gramstorff and Slade Gorton were other '49ers there. Ed and Ross also hit the Northcountry on skis at Washington's birthday time. From there they dropped down to Hanover and watched the Green upset Penn in basketball. Ed thinks the present undergraduates are entirely too sober, as they had only a mild celebration following this rather stunning victory.
