Plan on the 45th—June 13, 14,15REUNION EXTRA
Who's who on '07's Reunion Committee? Professor O'Neill, Jim to you, is President. Jim will do some talking, and you will like what he has to say.
Sam Bartlett is Treasurer. He won't talk much. His job is to worry about Reunion expense. That problem he will solve in advance by keeping expenses at a minimum.
Phil Chase is Class Alumni Fund Agent, and tops at his job. But,—he will forget it during '07's Reunion, enjoy himself, and let you enjoy yourself.
Trustee McLane, Judge to you, will not be judicial! He plans to have fun. Dick Lane, Class Secretary, will exhaust his eloquence (?) and energy (?) writing bulletins and buying badges, long before Reunion. He plans to relax, just as you do.
Harry McDevitt, perennial Class Chorister, will do his stuff as only he can do it. When the notes of "Cheer Up, Mary" and "Chinatown" ring out across the campus next June you will turn back the clock nearly half a century and be very glad that you returned to '07's Forty-Fifth.
Tom Reilly's death was reported in the April MAGAZINE. Mrs. Reilly writes that Tom was stricken first in November, 1950. Though he suffered several later attacks, he was able to be up and about in his home until a week before his passing. He read and rested a great deal and saw many friends. And, Mrs. Reilly writes, he read his ALUMNI MACAZINE from cover to cover. Tom was a top-notch doctor and citizen, friend and classmate.
Another classmate and friend will be absent when the '07 ranks form in Hanover next June. John Tarbell died on March 9 after a brief illness at his Winchester, Mass., home. John had appeared to be in good health shortly before his last illness, though he had had a disability tor some time. He was definitely anticipating the 45th. John leaves his wife; a daughter; a son, John Jr., of whom he was very proud; and two grandsons.
Cully and Mrs. Pierce vacationed in Florida with George Squier '08 and Mrs. Squier in March. Before he left for the South, Cully reported a hospital sojourn which involved "a minor clipping job on his sit-down." What's your guess?
See you at '07's 45th.
