This is a story of love, courage and unselfishness. Bob and Grace Clark purchased the one room schoolhouse in which Robert Jr. learned to read and write and converted it into a country store operated by Grace as a memorial to Bobby who died of brain cancer at the age of twelve. By the end of last year, more than $2,000 of profits had been turned over to the Lenox Hill Hospital in New York which administers the Bobby Clark Cancer Research Fund founded by Bob and Grace. In the hope that Bobby's fund will make it possible for doctors to discover quicker methods of diagnosing cancer, Grace spends most of her time working in the store during the season it is open. Hers is a labor of love for no part of the profits from the sale of a variety of goods ranging from lollipops to antiques is withheld. Disclaiming that she is being noble, Grace credits her project for a release from grief. Stout fellows, the Clarks!
