Ninteen members of the class turned out for the '25 luncheon, which was engineered by Bob Misch, at the Dartmouth Club of New York on December 16. That's quite a turn-out. Everybody had a good time and decided to have a class dinner sometime in February at the same stand. Those present were: CurtAbel, Jim Adams, Doug Archibald, FrancisBrown, Nate Colwell, Bob Cubbins, BriceDisque, Milt Emerson, Perk Fitch, CharlieGraydon, Bill Griffin, Marty Huberth, CliffHill, Paul Jerman, Phil Malloy, Bob Misch,Jack Per-Lee, Bill Simms and Van Von Lehn. Last month we ran an announcement of the election of Jock Brace as President of the First National Bank of Boston, said to be the oldest bank in the country and the largest in New England. This issue we're giving you a bit more dope about him: At 44, he is one of the youngest big-bank presidents in the United States. Sources in Boston tell us he is one of the hardest-working and most brilliant of local bank executives.
In addition to his new responsibility, "Jock." is also a trustee and member of the invest- ment committee of the Boston Five Cent Sav- ings Bank and a member of the Stockholder's Advisory Committee of the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston. He is a director of the First Boston International Corporation, Gillette Safety Razor Company, National Life Insurance Cos., U. S. Smelting & Refining & Mining Cos., and United Merchants and Manufacturers, Inc., of which his is a trustee and a member of the executive committee. He is chairman of the board of the Boys and Girls Camp, Inc., trustee and member of the finance committee of the Massachusetts General Hospital, and trustee and chairman of the finance committee of Phillips Academy, Andover. He is a member of the Algonquin Club, the Dedham Country and Polo Club, Brookline Country Club, and the Union Club. The Braces have a summer home on Penobscot Bay at Saturday Cove, Northport, Maine.
At Dartmouth, Jock was president of the Outing Club, a member of Paleopitus and ran the Carnival his senior year. Jock's sister Alice is the wife of "Pete" Blodgett, a First National vice president. The Braces have four children —Robert, 17, and Richard, 15, both at Andover; 11-year-old Ann. and Lloyd Jr.
