Bob Burns, Norm Catharin and I presented to Mrs. Fred Carroll yesterday the Memorial Book which the Executive Committee of the class voted to prepare and present to her and to the Dartmouth Library. These copies were bound in Dartmouth green leather and it was an exceptionally beautiful thing,—something which the class is going to be very proud to have participated in. May and the children were most pleased and delighted with it, and she has asked if she could have another copy for her son, Robert, which we are sending out to her today.

Mrs. Carroll has many memorials which we went over and this collection of Fred's letters will join these memorials that have been received from Kings, Governments, and other very distinguished people. The bank had also asked that a copy be given to them, and the presentation was made to President Walter Bucklin.

Before this reaches you you will, undoubtedly, have received your copy of the book that was prepared for the class as a whole. Although this is not bound in leather I think you will find it is quite a presentable memorial which you will be proud to have in your library.

We have been a long while getting this out but we wanted to save as much as possible in its printing and now, those of you who have not contributed, we are asking you to come across and do your share! Up to the present time we have only received contributions from twenty-six members of the class. We have not felt like putting pressure on you until you could see a copy of it for yourself. It is now most essential that everyone make their contributions. We want to get at least five dollars from each member of the class and more from those who can afford to contribute more. May we urge you to send a check just as soon as you possibly can so that we will not have to hold up the publisher for too long a period.

Congratulations to Jack Childs on the Dartmouth "Diddings." I hope you will all take heed to what he has to say for Norm is going to have all he can do this year to raise the quota, and will need the help not only of Jack but of all of you so we won't make quite as poor a showing as we made last year.
