Correction—In February MAGAZINE, read Arthur Surkamp—not Arthur Surkam Jr

Add to our February list of 21 grandchildren now in colleges—a grandson of our "Dick" Campbell, Donald Carr Campbell, Denver, Colo,, Dartmouth '45; and Allen P. Richmond 4th, sophomore, University of New Hampshire.

On January 19, Pete lost his sister Madge, who retired in 1936 from 25 years of teaching as head of the Mathematics Department in the Technical High School, Springfield, Mass. She was a graduate of Bates College, Maine, and had taken graduate courses at M.I.T., Cornell, and the Universities of Colorado and Wisconsin.

We share with Pete his sorrow but also rejoice with him that other members of his family are better.

When Mrs. Newton's artist brother, William Otis Swett Jr., a pupil of Whistler, died in 1938, she inherited a large number of his paintings which she hung in her living room and porch in Newton Centre. Recently, a trustee of Whistler House, Lowell, Mass. saw these pictures and asked that she loan them for an exhibit at Whistler House, February 4th to March 10th. The Lowell Journal of February 13th carries a biography of Mrs. Newton's brother, tells of his pictures in other cities and thanks Mrs. Newton for her loan.

During the arrangements for this loan Newton says they met "delightful people." The artist wife of our late Frederick A. Wood also had a studio in the Whistler House.
