THE ANNUAL CHRISTMAS LUNCHEON of the Saint Louis Club was a great success. About one hundred persons attended and were privileged to hear a few words from several of the undergraduates, who interpreted the latest trends and events in Hanover. This was the largest turnout in the history of the Club.

A smoker and business meeting was held at the home of Boyd Rogers '35 early in December. These smokers are held regularly each month and any visiting Dartniouths are most welcome.

A smaller group than usual turned out for the New Year's Eve party this year, but a fine time was had by everybody. Real Hanover weather greeted the celebrants, as the thermometer hovered in the frigid zones. Tom Curtis '32 and Bill Curtis '36 furnished breakfast after the party, ably prepared by Clise, the Curtis cook, who has already become almost an associate member of the St. Louis Club.

Club Personalities: Jim Alfring '35 failed to show at the New Year's Eve party. Last year he stopped by at 11 p.m. on his way to another affair for just one drink and stayed till the end, a decided asset to the spirit of conviviality. We missed his beaming countenance this year.

Marty Kerwin '33 is engaged to Miss Mary Beall Lane and will be married sometime in the late spring. We congratulate Marty on getting his girl before the complete disappearance of his crown of glory Ruth and Frank Cornwell '35 arrived at the New Year's party early and found out what they had been missing by arriving so late in previous years. Frank got the bar off to a good start Gene Merkt '33 has left the city for greener pastures. His absence will be noted particularly at the Saturday luncheons.
