The news for this column is coming in in fine fashion, but there are still a lot of you '31ers from whom the class would like to hear. How about it?

From Chicago comes a grand note from Oz Bliss, who says, "On Monday, the 5th of December, Henry Edison Bliss, 6 pounds and eleven ounces of boy with two arms, two legs, two eyes, and two of everything else that he ought to have two of, arrived. This is my first child, so perhaps my self-centeredness can be forgiven." You bet it can, Oz, and we all congratulate you and Mrs. Bliss. Hope they are both continuing to do well, and I'll be looking for that longer letter that you promised.

A change of address for Rog Burrill with the Huyler Candy Co., now at 240 Pearl St., Springfield, Mass. Used to live in Springfield myself, Rog, and it's a good Dartmouth town.

Bob Dickey also reports a change to the Monsanto Chemical Co. in the capacity of research chemist and living on Main St., Wilbraham, Mass. This is like old home week for ye Secretary.

We note .from the December issue of this ALUMNI MAGAZINE that Bill Grant's father has been nominated for the second time as a trustee for the College. A little reflected glory for the class of '31 to have Bill among us. Say, Bill, we haven't heard from you for a dog's age. How about a note? And congratulate your dad for us.

Another letter from Ernie Moore, who by this time must be well entrenched in Cleveland, saying that Nels Greenlund is now living in the Pasadena Apts., San Angelo, Texas. Does this mean, Nels, that you have been made the manager of your own store? If it is, we wish you the best of success.

Get out your pen, Nels, and tell us what it's like to be doing business down where the "Horned frogs" come from.

A new address for George Conklin— 1836 Jefferson Place, Washington, D. C. George, what does an architect for the U. S. Treasury do mostly? This is no idle crack; seriously, we are interested, drop us a line.

All of which leads to next new address for Frank Welch—3s High Bluff Ave., Cape Cottage, Me., as the Director of Vocational Guidance and Placement for the National Youth Administration. There is a government agency that is doing a noble work—would you send us some news, Frank?

What looks like a promotion for Dana Howe as the plant manager for the Harris Laboratories at Tuckahoe, N. Y. Right, Dan?

More good news from Link Ross, who says that Charlie McQueeny and Miss Anna Ayres of Manchester, Mass., were married on October 21, and that they are now living in Beverly, Mass. That's swell, Charlie and Anna, and we all wish you the greatest happiness in the world.

A most pleasant letter from Al McLean (Doctor of Medicine): "Having finally completed my specialty training in obstetrics and gynecology (I hope you spelled those right, Al, cause I didn't look 'em up) as a resident for two years at the Boston City Hospital, I have located in this city of Portland and am on the staff of the Maine General Hospital—and hope that eventually a few patients will find their way into my office. Have been married over three years, no offspring as yet. Saw Ted Johnson here in Portland, where he teaches and is active in skiing at the Deering High School." The best of luck to you, Al, and we hope lots of patients will find their way to your office. I'm sure they will.

The last bit of news to reach us tells of Dick Fisher's fine promotion with the A. C. Lawrence Leather Co. and of his transfer to their St. Louis office. What is Boston's loss is St. Louis's gain as Dick has always been a staunch supporter for the class of '3l and has been active in keeping the gang around Boston together. They will miss you in Boston, Dick, but I know that everyone joins me in wishing you the best of good business and success on the new job.

By the time this issue reaches you, yours truly—the Acting Secretary, will also have moved his home and business to do home office supervising for the Phoenix Mutual, and will be stationed in Hartford. The new address will be 79 Elm St., Hartford, Conn. It's an easy one to remember, so no more excuses from youse guys as to why you can't write. Thanks to you fellows who have helped contribute to this column and come on and let's hear from some more of you who haven't written as yet.

Secretary, Phoenix Mutual Life Ins. Co. 79 Elm St., Hartford, Conn.
