Jim Kimball has been very much in demand the past year in speaking before lumber dealers' associations all over the country. He reports a most interesting trip to Detroit and Kansas City. No doubt Jim knocked them off their feet if he was in his usual style, and from our recent meeting with him and Johnnie Ward we assume he is still up to par.
It is interesting to note from the Honors List just published by the College how the sons of the class are making a name for themselves in scholarship and certainly showing up their old men. Among those so listed we note Donald Andrus, Josiah Minot Fowler Jr., and Kim Hall, all of the class of '36, with marks 3.3 and better, and Richard Chase of the class of '38 with a mark of 3.7.
Rev. Perley C. Grant, who has just completed 11 years' service in Barre, Vt., has been called to a parish in Springfield, Mass. Mr. and Mrs. Grant were recently given a farewell reception by the church in Barre, on which occasion all the local pas- tors were called upon and each had a word of praise for Dr. Grant's fine spirit in interdenominational work in the city, mentioning his co-operation in civic, religious, and other community endeavors. We certainly wish Mr. and Mrs. Grant a most successful and happy pastorate in Springfield.
