The publication of the Episcopal Diocese of Western Massachusetts, The PastoralStaff, the April issue, carries a very laudatory column on our own Jack Nolan, who is city missionary of Springfield. Visitations are made weekly to all the local hospitals, which means he is in some hospital every day. He makes regular visits to the county jail, doing personal work among the prisoners and aiding them at the close of their prison term. He is a member of the Family Welfare Society; chaplain of the 104 th Infantry, Massachusetts National Guard, with rank of major; a member of the school board of the city of Springfield. The days are too short for Jack to carry on the many and splendid services in which he is interested.
