Len and Madge Manley in Sioux City, lowa, announce the arrival of Joan on August 18. The family consists now of one boy and two girls.
Chip and Nita Semmes have been in Europe this summer, England, Germany, Switzerland, and France, but they have been hurrying home to take in some of the football games. Chip has found in Berlin that it is not a crime to drink a glass of beer.
Bill and Lois Towler spent this vacation in the Big Horn Mountains at the Dome Lake Club with plenty of trout fishing and mountain climbing. There are ten lakes within a radius of four miles of the club.
Among the numerous tourists in Canada this summer were Henry and Marjorie Merrill, Sherm and Delia Ward, and Warde Wilkins! who spent also a most enjoyable week-end in Portland with Paul and Dottie Harmon, following a visit of Chuck and Mrs. Riley.
N. C. Lenfesty was elected as alumni member of the Athletic Council for a term of three years to June, 1929, at Commencement time last June.
The bachelors are dropping fast from the list, and the remaining number in the class grows smaller and smaller. As the Secretary leaves his office for Chum Hayes' wedding, he receives notice that Thomas Attwill Nichols and Florence Powers announce their marriage on Saturday, the fourth of September, 1926, at Lynn, Mass.
Robbins Barstow was made a Doctor of Divinity by Ripon College in June.
W. B. Pierce ("Bill") is located with the Travelers Insurance Company at Hartford, Conn. His address is 268 North Oxford St., Hartford. This comes from Leeds Gulick.
Andy Comstock is in Benton Harbor, Mich., manufacturing a shaving cream similar to Barbasol or Molle. The cream is put up in jars with various marks, such as fraternity names, etc.
Any fellows abroad who may be interested in stamps can forward any they run across to Leeds Gulick, Valley View Sanatorium, Phoenix, Arizona, as he is managing a stamp company in addition to his health camp.
"Wright Hugus for Senator" was on the posters stuck up all over West Virginia this summer. No news yet from Judge this fall.
"Hap" and Marian Atwood were in Boston for a few days during their motor vacation trip this fall. They were touring in their Chrysler, and of course stopped with the Manchester, N. H., agent before arriving in Boston. They reported a most enjoyable visit with Jack and Louise Nelson. The Secretary learned much about the Middle West members of the class, and if he doesn't hear from some of the men direct he'll publish the news.
Mr. and Mrs. Peter McCrystle announce the marriage of their daughter Kathleen Emily to Mr. Emmett Pishon on Saturday the 25th of September, 1926, at Berlin, N. H. Thus reads the notice that "my son Emmett" has a wife, and the class welcomes Kathleen to its group of regulars. Emmett was married away up in Berlin, and it was impossible for Charlie Archer, the Secretary, and some others of the class to make the trip, although all plans had been made to see "my son" take the fatal step.
Norman B. Catterall has returned from his European travels, and his address is now in care of Thomas J. Scully, 500 Main St., Belleville, N. J.
Walter and Irene Nolan have joined the Newton group, as they have moved from Providence to 35 Lewis St., Newton. They were found a few nights ago living by candle light, waiting for the electric company to turn on the juice. Marion and Charlie Archer were calling also, when Wilk arrived with some sweet cider, and it really was sweet! Walter is with the Dunlop Tire Company in Boston.
Miss Christine Adelaide Ramage, daughter of Mrs. Archibald P. Ramage, and George Ansel Hayes were married on September 11th in the garden of the bride's home. The best man and ushers were the former room-mates of Chum when they lived in New Haven. A reception followed the ceremony. After a motor trip, Mr. and Mrs. Hayes will be at home at 165 Fountain St., New Haven, Conn. Emmett Pishon and Warde Wilkins represented the class at the wedding.
