"lsabelle Warwick Luce, born Wednesday, April IS, 1925."

"Forget the middle name of the little girl. First name is Isabelle; middle name not yet decided. So say only 'lsabelle' until you hear from me."

And we hoped that thus it would remain. Without a middle name she might one time have become president. But it was not so to be. We have it over the telephone—"Dunham." It is evident that in the Luce family "Pa" does not name the children.

And glad to know that Edith is as well as could be expected. At any rate on April 20 our genial secretary engaged a seat in the Pullman from Boston and reserved a room at the Hanover Inn for the annual Secretaries Meeting on April 30. And he went. And May 4 when he has returned, he writes : "Edith and Isabel ( Good for him; I am glad the middle name is again lost and also the first one shortened- I expect to vote for her sometime as the first woman to be president) are coming along fine now, although it will be some time before they come home."
