Charles H. Hunkins sailed July 19 for France, where he will spend a sabbatical year, His book, "Favorite French Poems," has just been published by Henry Holt and Company.

Prof. Charles A. Holden of the Thayer School of Civil Engineering is on the board of selectmen of Hanover and also on the corporation of Mary Hitchcock Hospital and the Dartmouth Savings Bank.

Jesse K. Marden, M.D., has been made medical director of Near East Relief in Greece. Just outside the city of New Corinth the authorities turned over* the old military barracks, and there Dr. Marden -has established headquarters for a training hospital and for handling the medical relief incident to the immigration of a million and a quarter exiled refugees into a country which previously supported a population of slightly over five million. Teaching the use of quinine and the draining of the malaria-infested swamps are his two present duties of greatest import.
