Among the graduates of Dartmouth successful at the late election was Charles Q. Tirrell of Natick, Mass., who was re-elected to Congress. Mr. Tirrell has served his constituents for many terms, and holds a prominent position upon the Judiciary Committee, 'and consequently has had to pass upon many important measures. When anyone passes upon such measures some people are pleased and'some displeased. His opponent plastered the billboards in his district with posters setting forth the beauties of his own career and intentions and the imperfections in Mr. Tirrell's record. This made the campaign very annoying for Mr. Tirrell, but, as is usually the case, the people understood, and Mr. Tirrell was elected by a decided majority.

Secretary, Henry Whittemore, Framingham, Mass.
